Pet photos can be color or black and white and should be no smaller than 3-by-5 inches. They may include people. Limit one photo per household. They can be dropped off at the Kenai office, mailed to the Clarion at P.O. Box 3009, Kenai, 99611, or e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. A brief explanation of the photo, the pet's and owner's names, owner's address and phone number must be included.

The La Leche League of Soldotna and Kenai will meet from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. the first Tuesday of the month at the Frontier Community Services Playroom in the Red Diamond Center on Kalifornsky Beach Road. The league is a breastfeeding resource group that offers free monthly meetings, mother-to-mother breastfeeding support, telephone assistance and a lending library. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers are invited to attend. Babies are welcome.

The Kenai Peninsula Borough is offering a free right of way hazard tree removal project to all borough landowners with beetle killed spruce tree within 100 feet of a state- or borough-maintained road. The Kenai Peninsula Pop Warner Football Association's online auction continues through May 31 at http://kppopwarner.cmarket.com. The fundraising event provides community members an opportunity an to bid on items, such as autographed sports memorabilia, trips, including local fishing trips and bed and breakfast stays, art and one-of-a-kind items.
The money will help support football registration scholarships and organizational costs.
The group also seeks donated items or services.
