Former Kenai resident A.L. 'Al' Hudson died Tuesday, April 19, 2011 in the Washington Veterans Home in Retsil, Wash. He was 89.
Mr. Hudson was interred at the Tahamoa National Cemetery in Washington.
Mr. Hudson was born April 30, 1921. He joined the Air Force in 1941 and retired in 1962 at Elmendorf Air Force Base as Master Sergeant working on C123 aircraft. He moved to Kenai and started Hudson Aircraft Services, doing aircraft maintenance. He built the hangar now occupied by UPS. He also served on the Kenai City Council for three years. In 1976, he sold his business and moved to Texas to care for his brother, who had Parkinson's disease.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine Louise Hudson, and daughter, Katherine Ann Hudson.
