Area resident raises funds for cause

Soldotna resident Annette Pankoski recently committed to support Focus on the Family by participating in its fund-raiser, the National Bike Ride for the Family. She will spend three days pedaling 200 miles through Alaska to raise support for the ministry.

More than 1,500 people across the nation will join her in this commitment and in all will raise $3,000. Every dollar donated is tax deductible and will be used for families in need.

To sponsor Pankoski, donate online at www.bikerideforthe family.org; her rider identification number is 1838. Mail in donation can be sent to Focus on the Family, Colorado Springs, CO 80995. The ID number is requested. Deadline to sponsor a rider is Thursday.
