ANCHORAGE (AP) An Unalaska man died Friday after crashing his motorcycle head-on into a truck on the Glenn Highway at Sutton, according to Alaska State Troopers. It was at least the third motorcycle fatality in Alaska already this season.

Reid Frojen, 47, died at Providence Hospital several hours after the crash, which occurred about 10 a.m., troopers said.

Frojen was riding his 2003 Harley Davidson northbound on the Glenn Highway at Mile 63.4 when his bike crossed the center line and smashed into the front of a 1993 Ford pickup driven by 18-year-old David Sandstrom of Willow. He was not injured.

But Frojen suffered serious injuries. He was taken by helicopter to Providence, where he died Friday evening.

Frojen was wearing a helmet when the crash occurred, troopers said.
