The Soldotna baseball team defeated Palmer in Homer on Thursday, 7-5, for the first victory in the program’s history. The big moment for the Stars in the game was the fifth inning, when they broke loose for six runs. Soldotna pitchers held Palmer to just two hits. After the game in Homer, the Stars traveled to Kodiak for weekend games.
