Alaska will benefit from spill

Posted: Tuesday, May 25, 2010

The good and bad of it all:

Some folks believe there is an eternal justice at work in the creation. I think I'm seeing it now. People of Prince William Sound, it is your time to get some payback; for the disaster you suffered has been visited on another. These are hard times, and there won't be time for sorrow. It is time to set your nets.

Fishermen and the tourist people get ready. Alaska seafood prices for export will more than double by season's end. Get your boats and nets ready. Seafood buyers, get your contracts now! Lock in your prices. Demand will be great.

Michigan has already doubled its tourist advertising. Alaska and the Great Lake States will become become this year's vacation haven.

The Gulf Coast is no more.
