Bike rodeo a fun, safe day

Posted: Tuesday, May 25, 2010

The Kaleidoscope bike rodeo was a great success. The students learned a lot about bike safety from officer Mitch Langseth, had helmets checked or purchased them from nurse Jane Fellman with Safe Kids, and had fun learning on the course. This event could not have been such a great event without volunteers. Special thanks go out to the following terrific contributors: officer Mitch Langseth, nurse Jane Fellman, the Moose Lodge volunteers (Governor Joe Stanford, Bob Monroe Sr., Adreann Baker, Sadie Larson, Gretchen Larson and Brett Roller) who brought the barbecue and cooked for all the students and staff. Steve's Chevron provided the propane. Brad Carver from the Bike Shop loaned bike maintenance tools, Kaleidoscope PTA provided refreshments for the volunteers as well as snacks and beverages for the students. Last but not least I would like to thank the parent volunteers: Jen and Sam Satathite, Luke Jackson, Jason and Lysa Diorec, Marian Austin, Erin Miles and Molly Sansotta, Misty Hamilton, Maria Shaginoff, Jessica and Terry Bookey, Gerri Litzenberger, Jan Marquis, Michelle Olson and Will Morrow.
