This week, the kindergarten through second-graders made pictures to go with the song they will sing for the awards presentation Thursday. Graduating kindergartners are Liam Floyd, Lindsay Floyd and Anna Feucht.

Mrs. East received a postcard last week from Flat Stanley, who is in London again. This week, Stanley is in the small town of Merida in Venezuela, where it is very hot.

In Mrs. Pribbenow's third- through fifth-grade class, students are finishing their homemade books. They also are studying the digestive system in health. Third-graders are covering Christopher Columbus, and the whole class is polishing the America's Creed for a recitation at the awards ceremony.

The sixth- through eighth-graders finished listening to Mr. Toliver read "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland." Eighth-graders completed their final algebra test, while all students took their final science test. Graduating eighth-graders are Robert Herr, Kalie Nelson and Jaron Pribbenow.

Students are looking forward to summer. Today is an in-service day, and the last day of school is Thursday, with the awards presentation at 10 a.m.
