Kenai

n May-July -- "Alaska 2000: A Celebration of Wild-life Art," is a major national wildlife exhibition at the Kenai Visitors Center through July 31. For more information, call 283-1991.

n June-August -- Interpretive programs are held Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 3 to 3:45 p.m. at the Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center. n July 1-4 -- 73rd annual Mount Marathon Race and Fourth of July Celebration. The traditional race began when two sourdoughs had an argument about whether it was possible to climb and descend the mountain in less than an hour. There are men's and women's races with 300 entrants each and a junior race of 200. The 3.25 mile race goes up the 3,022 foot mountain.
