ANCHORAGE (AP) A man reported missing from a fish processing boat in Bristol Bay over the weekend was found hiding aboard the vessel early Monday, the Coast Guard said Monday.

The Coast Guard and several fishing vessels searched the ocean 50 miles out Sunday but failed to find Mario Custodio, 27, who vanished from the 250-foot Alaska Warrior. Crew members found him shortly before 3 a.m. Monday, the Coast Guard said.

Coast Guard officials said they were still investigating the circumstances behind Custodio's disappearance, including information that he was suffering from insomnia. The Alaska Warrior was expected to reach Dutch Harbor on Wednesday.

Custodio had last been seen about 5:30 p.m. Saturday when he was supposed to begin a work shift processing yellowfin sole.

The ship is operated by the Fishing Company of Alaska, which is based in Seattle.
