Special Olympics team members display a check from the Kenai Chapter of the Alaska Peace Officers Association. The association sponsored the 2003 Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics on May 17. Special Olympics athletes, police officers and community members ran a 5-kilometer race, raising more than $2,700 for Kenai Peninsula Special Olympics.
