I would like to take this opportunity to commend the staff on duty in the Emergency Room the afternoon of Friday, April 30.
My husband and I were visiting our son, Steve Horn, and his wife Lisa Parker in Soldotna.
I was taken to the emergency via ambulance with a swollen knee and unable to place any weight on the leg.
From the moment I was placed in a room in emergency I received excellent care. The staff was very considerate of my pain at all times.
Within a short time Dr. Ned Magen appeared and "what a joy"! He approached me with a smile and at the same time greeted my husband and son. He listened to me as I explained what had happened and my concern. I have osteoarthritis and I am a nine year double mastectomy survivor. He talked with me and as I said before he listened to me.
Soon I was going to x-ray. The e-ray technician, whose name I believe was Brenda, reinforced my impressions of the staff. She was outstanding in her consideration of the pain that I was experiencing and "worked" to make me as comfortable as possible.
My main intent in writing this letter is to say "thank you" to all the staff on duty that day and to commend the hospital for their service in the community.
