Wasilla man dies in weekend car crash

ANCHORAGE (AP) A Wasilla man died in a car crash over the weekend, Alaska State Troopers said Tuesday.
Cory P. Godwin, 22, died Sunday night after his Mazda crossed the centerline of Bogard Road in Wasilla and collided into a westbound Ford Explorer driven by Petro M. Kalii, 18, of Wasilla, troopers said.
Two passenger in the Explorer were taken to Valley Hospital and treated for minor injuries.
Godwin was pronounced dead shortly after he was extricated from his car, troopers said.
