The son of Ann Adams, Thomas began attending Cook Inlet Academy in the fifth grade. He was active at the school, serving as president of the National Honor Society, manager for the boys basketball team for four seasons and a leader in the classroom with a 3.95 grade point average. In addition to his college course work at Kenai Peninsula College, Thomas invests much time and energy with the Kenai Youth Court, where he serves as a judge. Thomas plans to study pre-law at KPC and UAA before going on to law school.
