The Soldotna Chamber of Commerce has put together a special package for its members to attend a motivational seminar featuring Rudy Giuliani, Zig Ziglar, Steve Forbes and others on June 9 in Anchorage.
The cost is $20 and seats are limited to the first 50 people to R.S.V.P. Tickets include transportation to and from Sullivan Arena, with the bus leaving the Soldotna chamber at 5 a.m. and returning at approximately 7:45 p.m.

The Kenai Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for another festive Fourth of July celebration in Kenai. In celebration of the 50th year of statehood, the event theme is "The 49th Turns 50."
The parade will kick off the day, followed by vendor booths, games and entertainment on the park strip. The chamber is seeking volunteers, sponsors, parade entrants, vendors and entertainers.

Peninsula Community Health Center Executive Director Stan Steadman recently received the Legacy Award at the Northwest Regional Primary Care Association annual meeting held in Anchorage. The award "honors an individual who has dedicated his/her career to solving the problems of health, poverty and human rights and who has contributed toward the mission and recognition of community and migrant health centers in the Northwest region."

The Kenai Peninsula Bed and Breakfast Association Solstice Music Festival is accepting applications for vendor booths and musicians to perform. Booths can be food, arts and crafts or carnival type games. Musicians who specialize in any type religious music -- Christian Contemporary, Gospel Rock, etc. -- are also needed.
