ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A gunman made off with an undisclosed amount of money Tuesday night from a grocery store in south Anchorage.
Anchorage police said the man entered the Carrs grocery store at Dimond Boulevard and Old Seward Highway and brandished a handgun. The man escaped with cash and was picked up by someone in a black, 1980s-model Honda Accord.
The man was white and had sandy-blond wavy or curly hair. He stood about 6-feet-tall. He wore glasses and had on a plaid jacket and a denim shirt.
