Military appreciation forum a huge success

Posted: Friday, May 29, 2009

Several veterans and active members of our military recently visited Kenai Central High School to share their knowledge and experiences with our students. Our community is extremely fortunate to have such dedicated individuals. The sacrifices they have made, and continue to make, provide inspiration to our students.

It is with heartfelt thanks that the students and staff recognize the following who gave up an entire day to share with us: Army Sgt. Herb Stettler, Navy Chief Petty Officer Robert S. Peterson, Army Master Sgt. Paul Elkins, Marines Capt. Al Parker, Navy SW3 Joe Coup, Army Staff Sgt. Greg Fite, Airborne PFC Glen Johnson and Army Medics Sgt. Robert Harrison.

Your stories provided the ultimate history lesson and appreciation for all who serve.
