FAIRBANKS (AP) -- A former Fairbanks massage therapist has been sentenced to five years in prison for inappropriately touching four clients.

Andy Noel Ritter, 43, was convicted in February of six counts of second-degree sexual assault.

Prosecutor Sara Gehrig said the charges stemmed from incidents between February and April 1997 and in November 1997. At the time of the assaults, Ritter owned Healing Arts Massage in Fairbanks and took the practice to Barrow one weekend a month.

Barrow Superior Court Judge Michael Jeffrey sentenced Ritter to 10 years in prison with five suspended and 10 years probation.
