Great community support makes school trips possible

Posted: Friday, May 30, 2003

The support of our community makes it possible for our school to have many special projects and events with students. Our annual Spring Carnival is a community event that raises funds for our Halibut Cove and Anchorage Zoo trips.

Many thanks to all the parent volunteers for their time and effort to support this event. A thank you as well to Anchorage Cold Storage Coca-Cola, Airgas of Kenai, Arby's of Kenai, Kenai McDonald's and Doug Sears of the Seattle Hyatt for their generous donations of goods and services.

Our carnival co-chairs, Laraine Hanson and Barbara Ralston, along with our raffle chair, Nicole Shelden, deserve thanks for their many extra hours and great effort for this event.

The Kenai business community and parent volunteers are important to the success of our school and educational endeavors. Parent volunteers continue to play an important role in school each day for special events. Kenai and peninsula businesses continue to support our school even when times are tough and sales are down. We much appreciate the great support our school receives.
