Volunteers, donations make feast possible

Thanks to volunteers, donations and entertainment from Kenai River Professional Guide Association members, Kenai River Sportfishing Association, Coca Cola, Heritage Place staff and area residents, the fourth annual Return of the Salmon Celebration, held at Heritage Place on May 22, was a resounding success.

The celebration has grown year by year, and this year fed over 260 people — Heritage Place residents and family members, Heritage Place staff, Soldotna seniors and assorted guests. The menu consisted of grilled salmon, salmon casserole, deep-fried halibut, halibut quiche, moose chili, deep-fried clams and scallops, salads, soft drinks, desserts and more.

Heritage Place residents look forward eagerly to this annual event. Many thanks to all who helped make the fourth annual Return of the Salmon Celebration possible.
