Dogs benefit from donations of others

Posted: Tuesday, May 30, 2006

On May 6, the Kenai Kennel Club held an open house to celebrate National Pet Week. We wanted to promote fun, healthy and positive ways to be involved with dogs through exercise, health care and identification. There were demonstrations, visual and printed information, a microchip clinic and prizes.

Many businesses contributed to our success in getting the point across to pet owners that positive interaction with their dogs is the first step in creating a lifelong bond.

Our thanks go to Cad-Re Feed, Cohoe Micro Bakery, Kenai Animal Shelter, Kenai Veterinary Hospital, Our Best Friends, the Peninsula Clarion, Shiloh Labradors, Soldotna Animal Hospital, Spenard Builders Supply in Soldotna, Tarma Grooming and Twin Cities Veterinary Clinic for their donations.

It is the kennel club’s goal to educate the public for the betterment of all dogs. Those who contributed helped us obtain that goal at our open house. Thank you.
