Longtime Kenai resident Donald R. Day died Friday, May 26, 2000, in Tucson, Ariz., while receiving treatment for cancer.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Kenai.
Mr. Day recently had retired after 28 years of working for Unocal. He lived in Kenai for 40 years and was a member of the Eagles, the Elks and a bowling league.
"Don was a great asset to the Kenai community and will be missed by all," his family said.
He is survived by his son, Dana Day, of Kenai; daughter, Stacey Day, of Las Vegas; mother, Doris Day, of Kenai; sister, Sandra Toloff, of Tucson; and granddaughters Madison, Kassidy and Paige.
