Posted: Thursday, May 31, 2001

Where: Dover Downs International Speedway's 1-mile oval with 24-degree bank ing and 1,076-foot straightaways in Dover, Del.

When: 1 p.m. Sunday

Broadcast: Television FOX; Radio Motor Racing Network.

2000 winner: Tony Stewart

Morris News Service pick: Bobby Labonte

Others to watch: Rusty Wallace, Dale Jarrett, Tony Stewart, Mark Martin and Steve Park

Notes: The posted awards are $3,662,694. The corners at Dover Downs are banked 24 degrees and the straightaways are banked nine degrees. That makes it one of the most physically demanding raceways on the circuit and why it's known as ''The Monster Mile.'' The key to Dover Downs is exiting the second and fourth turns. The driver who can get back on the gas the quickest in the corners will have a better head of steam for the sprint down the straightaways.
