I have followed the stories on Colleen Puch in your great newspaper.
I am so grateful to you folks there at the paper for all your caring and support. I want to thank Tanny Miller, and all the folks who have been friends and co-workers of Colleen since she moved away from all of us here in Ohio. You guys are good people, the kind I would want for my friends, also.
Colleen and I have been friends for many years. We drove buses together also, our kids grew up together, we went through band, football, track and all the other things kids get into in school. We went through births, deaths, divorces and all the other ups and downs that life deals us.
When she and Tanny visited me last summer, it was like we had never been apart, we just picked up where we left off.
I must admit I was in shock when she called me to tell me she had cancer and would have to go through many treatments.
I know for a fact she called each and every one of her friends to let us know so we did not have to hear it from someone else. Even though she was so frightened and needed us, she thought of us first!
If you look up friend in the dictionary, it will have a picture of Colleen there at least mine does.
Colleen is in our hearts and in our prayers. Friends come and friends go, but true friends stay in our hearts and minds forever.
