Poseidon’s Waves

Posted: Thursday, June 01, 2006

Speak to me, O keeper of the ocean.

Whisper to me, O guardian of the sea.

Give me your protection, as I let

Poseidon’s waves wash over me.

Calm and peaceful, as the briny breeze,

The frothy waves of my imagination,

Create monstrous illusions, as I ponder

The significance of things.

Deep within my Pacific thoughts, that surpass

The depth of the deepest seas, the 65

Voices penetrate my darkness, as I let the lights

From above cradle me.

Lull me to sleep, O keeper of the ocean.

Rock me awake, O guardian of the sea.

Give me your protection, as I let

Poseidon’s waves wash over me.

As I wade in the pool of my

Existence, in dreams long to forget,

The sunlight refracted off the surface,

Distorted by the waves of the sea.

Independent and determined, are the earthquakes

Produced of my mind. The power surpassing

What I’ve dreamed

Shaking and quaking my soul that was at ease.

Keep me hidden, O Guardian of the ocean.

Rock me awake, O keeper of the sea.

Give me your protection, as I let

Poseidon’s waves wash over me.
