Central Peninsula Habitat for Humanity's annual warehouse sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Proceeds go into building the next Habitat home. Windows, doors, cabinets, paint, deck stain, sink, tub, stove and other items will be for sale.

The annual Kenai River Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 13 and 14 at Soldotna Creek Park in Soldotna.
The festival focuses on the importance of the Kenai River and is centered on educating children on the importance of taking care of the Kenai River and area watersheds.

The annual Run for the River, family 5K walk/run and 10 miler on a multiple-turn, loop course to benefit the Kenai River and the Kenai River Festival will be held June 13 at Soldotna Creek Park in downtown Soldotna. Registration and warm-up at 8 a.m. and race start at 8:30 a.m. for the 10 Miler and 9 a.m. for the 5K.
Participants may register at the Kenai Watershed Forum office in the Blazy Mall or online at Active.com. Registration includes a Run for the River T-shirt. The cost will be adult pre-registration $15, adult day of race is $25, under 18-years-old pre-registration is $10, under 18-years-old day of race is $20 and 6-years-old and under are free.

The Kenai Peninsula Archers will host a 3-D archery shoot at 1 p.m. Saturday at its range on North Arc Loop Road. Members will be available at the range after 10 a.m. for those who need help. The cost is $20 for non-members and $10 for members. For more, information call Len at 262-7375.

Beginning June 15 the Kenai Central High School pool's hours will be from 6:30 to 8 a.m. Monday through Friday -- lap swim; 8 to 9 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday -- swim workout for swim team or adults ($35 for a punch card or $4 a day); and from 1 to 2:45 p.m. Monday and Friday -- open swim.
Swim lesson times are 9 to 9:40 a.m., 9:45 to 10:25 a.m., 10:30 to 11:10 a.m., 11:15 to 11:55 a.m., noon to 12:30 p.m. (3 and 4 year olds) and private lessons 3 to 3:30 p.m. and 3:30 to 4 p.m. For more information, call 283-7476.
A disc golf tournament will be held Aug. 1 at the disc golf course behind Oilers Field in Kenai to raise funds for Camp Mend A Heart, a bereavement camp for youth, sponsored by Hospice of the Central Peninsula.
Hospice is seeking community members to sponsor or co-sponser a hole, sponsor a team, be a team player or volunteer for tasks for the tournament.
The day camp is free to local children ages 6 to 12 years old and is set for Aug. 17, 18, 19.
