Redoubt students make a difference

Posted: Tuesday, June 01, 2010

The students, parents and staff at Redoubt Elementary are to be applauded for their generous contributions and effort put forth during their Community Service Project Fundraiser. Earlier in this year, the students voted to help the animals at the local animal shelters as a way to give back to the community. They were able to raise over $2100.00! Those funds were then used to purchase various items needed at our local animal shelters. In addition to their fundraising, they also received donations and discounts from the following business: Cadre Feed, Fred Meyer, Safeway, Save-U-More, Wal-Mart, Soldotna Animal Hospital, Twin Cities Veterinary Hospital and Our Best Friends. A big "thank you" to those businesses for partnering with Redoubt Elementary in their effort to make a difference in our community. It has been a joy and privilege to be a part of this project!
