Longtime Nikiski resident Jack H. Brewer died Friday, May 28, 2010, at Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna. He was 52.
Per his request, no services are planned.
Mr. Brewer was born April 18, 1958, in Missoula, Mont. He moved to Alaska in 1984. He enjoyed his animals, fishing, smoking fish and just about anything with his family.
"Jack was very dedicated to his family. His #1 priority was always his grandkids. He could always be found out in the yard with the kids working on his flower garden or adding to his 'big woodpile.' Jack was the kind of guy that would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it. He took pride in always being fair no matter what. Jack will be dearly missed by many, especially his family and friends. Heaven has another great angel," his family said.
"We will always remember you, we love you G-Pa," his grandkids said.
Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by his father, Jesse H. Brewer; brother, Jesse A. Brewer; and grandmother, Mary E. Strong.
He is survived by his wife, Joan K. Brewer; daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline and Jonathen Gattenby, all of Nikiski; sons and daughters-in-law, Joshua and Tamsen Brewer of Soldotna, and Jimmy and Traci Brewer of Nikiski; granddaughters, Angela, Alyssa, and Lilliana, all of Nikiski; grandsons, Jaxson, Hunter, Shane, Gunner and Duasian, all of Nikiski; nephew, A.J.
