Woman rescued from Flattop Mountain

ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A 48-year-old woman with a broken leg was rescued with a helicopter hoist from Flattop Mountain in Anchorage Friday.

Barbara Norton of Anchorage was about three-quarters of the way up the south side of the mountain when she slipped and fractured her leg.

A helicopter with a hoist was used to lift the woman from the mountainside. She was taken to Alaska Regional Hospital for treatment.
