ANCHORAGE (AP) -- One man died and a man and a woman were critically injured in a traffic accident in east Anchorage on Monday morning.

Anchorage police released no names of the victims.

Police told KTUU-TV and a pickup truck and a sedan collided just after 2:30 a.m.

The driver of the pickup truck was ejected from the vehicle, which rolled after impact. The driver died.

The car spun several times after impact and a male passenger was ejected.

Both he and the woman driver were hospitalized in critical condition.

Traffic investigators said the vehicles hit in a T-bone configuration, which often is a sign that one vehicle ran a red light.

Anchorage police said they are seeking witnesses to the crash.
