Sixth-grade teacher Anne Pfitzner has been selected as one of three national winners of an Einstein Fellowship in Washington, D.C. She will work on Capitol Hill with legislators and be an advisor on all educational matters.

Tony and Wayne Aitkin were presented awards for perfect junior high and high school attendence at Nikisk Middle-Senior High School's awards night. It was discovered the two also had perfect attendence in elementary school.

"Wow, this should be a Guiness Book of World Records record," wrote Nikiski secretary Debbie Falk.
