Crime Stoppers seeks theft info

Central Peninsula Crime Stoppers is seeking information leading to the arrest of suspects involved in three thefts in May.

On May 12, someone stole a wheelchair from a garage at 113 Harbor Ave. in Kenai. A 1991 Dodge Caravan was stolen from a Willow Street apartment complex on May 19, and was later found, unoccupied on the north end of Kenai near First Street.

A pickup truck was broken into May 25 while it was parked just west of Morgan Steel near Mile 7.5 of the Kenai Spur Highway. A thief or thieves stole a car stereo and two amplifiers from the vehicle.

Anyone with information about felony crimes is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 283-TIPS or toll free (800) 478-HALT. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information that leads to the arrest of felony suspects. Crime Stoppers does not use caller ID or recorded lines, and callers need not give their names.
