Kyle D. Hayes
Kyle D. Hayes of Dayton, Wash., died Sunday, May 28, 2006, at the Dworshak Reservoir, Little Bay near Orofino, Idaho. He was 12 .
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 5 at the Dayton City Cemetery with a memorial service at 11 a.m. at the Seneca Activities Center in Dayton. There will be a potluck dinner immediately after the memorial service. Pastor Bill Dobos of the Weston Community Church in Weston, Ore. will officiate. Those who wish to pay their respects may call at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 601 S. 3rd in Dayton on Sunday, June 4 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Kyle was born May 31, 1993 in Soldotna, the son of William E. and Pamela J. Jensen Hayes. He lived with his family in Kenai, where he started school. When he was in the fourth grade, the family moved to Dayton. Kyle was in the seventh grade at Dayton Middle School. He enjoyed skiing, riding his motorcycle, kneeboarding and swimming. He played football at the junior high level. Kyle also participated in soccer and baseball. He loved cars, animals and chatting on the Internet with his friends.
Kyle was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marilyn Jensen, on Aug. 10, 2005.
He is survived by his parents, Pamela Hayes of Dayton and Bill Hayes of Walla Walla, Wash.; brother, Cody Hayes of Dayton; grandparents, Gary Jensen of Weston, Ore., Gary Hayes and Cory Gloor of Prescott, Wash., and Sharon and Jimmy Murray of Wallerawang, Australia; great-grandmother, Virginia Williams of Walla Walla; uncle, David Jensen of Gresham, Ore.; and cousin, Derrick Jensen of Gresham.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dayton Elementary fifth grade ski program or the charity of the donor’s choice through the Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home, 902 S. Main, Milton-Freewater, Ore. 97862.
