Kids club to meet

The Kenai Bible Church and Child Evangelism Fellowship will host a free kids’ club from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at the Kenai Civic League Park on Peninsula Avenue off Main Street across from the Kaknu Apartments. Children in preschool through fifth grade may attend. Lunch, ice cream, games, crafts, songs and prizes are planned.

Community pandemic flu seminar slated

The Alaska Department of Public Health and Social Services, in conjunction with the city of Kenai and the Kenai Peninsula Borough Office of Emergency Management, will sponsor a free community pandemic flu seminar June 12 through 14 in Kenai.

Peace group to meet

Lacrosse club seeks members

The Central Peninsula Lacrosse Club is seeking members and participants. Registration has begun and the season will run June 12 to Aug. 10. The cost is $100. For more information, e-mail or write to P.O. Box 3441, Soldotna, AK 99669.

Swim lessons to make a splash

The Soldotna High School pool will begin its summer schedule June 12. Its hours of operation will be: lap swim from 2 to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays; open swim from 2 to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays; and pool rentals on request. The cost of admission is $3 per individual or $25 for a punch card (10 punches). The pool rental cost is $35 per hour with one guard.

Swim lessons will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 5:30 p.m. daily. Lessons will be 10 40-minute sessions for levels two through five and 10 25-minute sessions for level one. Lesson dates are June 12, June 26 (eight sessions only), July 10 and July 24. The cost for lessons is $40 or $10 per hour for private lessons. For more information, call 262-7419.
