Easy fresh blueberry cobbler
1 cup self-rising flour

In cobblers, crisps, blueberries and peaches reign supreme
With the arrival of early, succulent peaches and plump blueberries, the signs of summer continue to develop at the market. The peaches seem to taste exceptionally sweet this year and the blueberries appear especially plump, making them particularly luscious for use in cobblers and crisps.

Ruling angers reader
After reading the article about Estin Borchgrevink getting only 19 years, 13 with good behavior, for molesting and beating a 2-year-old, I was appalled but not surprised.

The Tri-Borough Commission is urging that any future pipeline project include a spur line to Southcentral and that a portion of the line's revenues be dedicated to Alaska communities.

Photo feature: Where's Mama?
A newborn moose calf, crying for its mother, runs across Main Street Loop in Kenai on Tuesday afternoon. As hard as it may be, Jeff Selinger of the Alaska Department of Fish and Game says to leave apparently orphaned animals alone. Their mothers often find their young ones and it is difficult to find an appropriate home for them once they've been rescued, Selinger said. "The best chance the calves have at survival is getting back with the cow. Even though it may seem harsh to leave the calf by itself, that's its best chance," he said.
