Maurice J. 'Joe' Heffernan

Maurice J. "Joe" Heffernan died Friday, May 31, 2002, in Kasilof. He was 64.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Tustumena Lodge in Kasilof and 11 a.m. Thursday at Elizabeth Ann Church in Omaha, Neb.
Mr. Heffernan was born Oct. 14, 1937, in Ute, Iowa. He was an Alaska resident for 30 years.
He is survived by his companion, Betty Paige; children, Jane Weber of Las Vegas, Mark Heffernan of MoValley, Iowa, and John Heffernan of Omaha; six grandchildren; sisters, Jan Feser of Blair, Neb., and JoAnn Stessman of Dunlap, Iowa; and brothers, Mike Heffernan of Kearney, Neb., and Tim Heffernan of MoValley.
