Conference, guest speaker set

The Kalifonsky Christian Center will host the following events at its center at Mile 17 Kalifornsky Beach Road:

* Today and Friday -- at 7 p.m. Brent Douglas from New Zealand will be the featured speaker.

* Sunday through June 13 and June 15 -- Wings of Eagles conference at 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday through Thursday; 7 p.m. June 13 and 10:30 a.m. June 15. The featured speakers will be Brent Douglas, Tony Anthony, Wes and Stacy Campbell, Bill Burkhardt, Judith Green, Victor Abalos and Roland Sanchez.

Bible school set

The Soldotna Bible Chapel will host a vacation Bible school with an Amazon Expedition theme from 9 a.m. to noon June 16 through 20. Children ages 4 years old through grade six may participate in songs, crafts, games, goodies and dramas. They also may discover the "Seven C's of history.

Echo Lake Bible study ongoing

A King James Bible study group meets at 7 p.m. Thursdays on East Echo Lake Road. For more information, call Jep Hensen at 262-3509.

Nikiski Aglow meeting set

Nikiski Aglow meets at 10 a.m. Wednesdays at North Star United Methodist Church at Mile 25.5 of the Kenai Spur Highway. Women may attend Bible study, prayer and worship. For more information, call 776-8022.

Clothes Quarters open

The Clothes Quarters is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays at 225 S. Spruce St. behind Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Kenai. The store sells clothes and free trade coffee.

Nikiski Bible study under way

Nikiski Nazarene Ladies offers the Beth Moore Bible study, Living Beyond Yourself, from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturdays. Women and teen girls may attend. For more information, call 776-8022 or 776-5421.

Grief support group to meet

Soldotna United Methodist Church conducts a life, love and loss support group from noon to 1 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of the month at the church at 158 S. Binkley St. Any type of loss is open for discussion in the group.
