Children still being accepted for choir

Peninsula Christian Center is accepting all interested children in grades one through six to participate in the new Bel Canto Children's Choir that will perform "Salute to America," a patriotic musical at the God and Country Rally June 30 in the Renee Henderson Auditorium at Kenai Central High School. Sports clinic, Bible school slated

The First Baptist Church in Soldotna will host a one-day sports clinic Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Activities include volleyball and basketball for ages 10 to 17.

Also planned at the church is a vacation Bible school June 17-21 from 1 to 4 p.m. for grades one through six. The theme is "An Expedition to the Amazon."

Bible school planned in Nikiski

The Nikiski Church of Christ, at Mile 24.5 Kenai Spur Highway, will hold a vacation Bible school from 9:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Monday through Thursday. There will be Bible classes for ages 3 through sixth grade and free refreshments. All materials are free and there will be no collections. Kenai church set to go 'buggy'

Vacation Bible school will be held Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon at Star of the North Lutheran Church, 216 N. Forest Drive in Kenai. Children of all ages are encouraged to come to a "Bug Safari." There will be theme-related stories, music, crafts, games and snacks. For more information, call 283-4153 or 283-9224.

Kasilof church to hold Bible school

The New Life Fellowship Church on Kalifornsky Beach Road in Kasilof will hold a vacation Bible school for children in kindergarten through sixth grade from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Soldotna chapel will 'do what's right'

The Soldotna Bible Chapel will hold a "Do What's Right" vacation Bible school program for children ages 4 through sixth grade June 17-21. Children will learn to "Do What's Right" as they study God's word and have snacks, crafts, songs and games. Classes will be held from 9 a.m. to noon each day at 301 Marydale Ave. in Soldotna. The closing program will be at 11:45 a.m. June 21. For more information, call 262-4865.
