Quake shakes Interior

ANCHORAGE (AP) -- Pipeline workers at Alyeska's Pump Station No. 5 were among the Interior residents who felt a magnitude 4.4 earthquake at 10:28 p.m. Wednesday.

The Alaska Earthquake Information Center said the quake hit 37 miles south-southeast of Bettles near the trans-Alaska pipeline. The quake was less than one mile deep.

No damage from the earthquake was reported.
