Homer resident Dallas G. Walker died Sunday, June 3, 2001, at South Peninsula Hospital in Homer. He was 44.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Homer on East End Road. Bishop Garth Bradshaw will officiate at the service. Viewing will be from 1 p.m. to the service time at the church. Burial will be in Hickerson Memorial Cemetery in Homer.
Mr. Walker was born April 11, 1957, in Denver, Colo. He moved to Alaska in 1992 and resided in Homer. He began working for Peninsula Sanitation in 1994 and worked there until the time of his death.
Mr. Walker enjoyed playing pool with friends and family.
"So many people loved him. He will be missed by all of us. He gave us his whole life. He will always be a part of us," his family said. "He will never be forgotten and will be loved more than he will ever know."
Mr. Walker is survived by his children, Ryan Walker, Aimee Cordez, Teresa Jones, Mellisa Walker, Jessica Walker and Emily Walker; grandchildren, Xena Marie Walker, Luke Gene Walker, Ciara Jeanea Cordez, Kye Richard Young Jones and Rachel Rene Kaylin Jones.
Arrangements were made by the Homer Funeral Home.
