Stewart keys Blue Jays victory

TORONTO -- Shannon Stewart hit a go-ahead, two-run single in a three-run eighth inning Thursday to lead the Toronto Blue Jays over the Tampa Bay Devil Rays 8-7.

White Sox 5, Royals 1

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Mark Buehrle (4-3) stretched his scoreless streak to 24 2-3 innings, allowing two hits in eight shutout innings as Chicago won for the ninth time in 11 games.

Yankees 4, Orioles 0

NEW YORK -- Roger Clemens struck out 10, and Todd Greene doubled twice and drove in three runs, lifting New York over Baltimore.

Indians 6, Twins 2

MINNEAPOLIS -- Marty Cordova hit a tiebreaking two-run triple, helping Cleveland beat Minnesota and win the four-game series against his former team.

Red Sox 8, Tigers 1

BOSTON -- Carl Everett returned to the Boston lineup and drove in five runs, leading Tim Wakefield and the Red Sox over Detroit.

Angels 6, Athletics 4

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Pinch-hitter Orlando Palmeiro keyed a five-run sixth inning with a two-run single, and Troy Glaus homered for Anaheim against Oakland.
