Burn permit suspension lifted some areas

The Burn Permit suspension has been lifted by the Alaska State Forestry for small piles only in the areas south of the south fork of the Anchor River, including the Fox River Drainage and the Kenai and Kodiak area.

Dozer piles are not permitted at this time.

Permittees must call each say to check on the status of the permit suspension. Fires must be kept well away from spruce trees.

Burn permits are not valid during windy conditions.
