Waugaman, Brewer wed on glacier

Kelli Lynne Waugaman and Douglas Brewer, both of Nikiski, were joined in marriage at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2002. The couple flew across Cook Inlet to a glacier where they exchanged their vows. The Rev. Stuart Churchill officiated.

The bride is the daughter or Dale Waugaman of Federal Way, Wash., and Sandra Fox of La Grande, Ore. She wore a white wedding dress and delicate, white pearls.

Donna Greenlee, the matron of honor, wore a celery-colored dress with a lavender overlay. She carried roses, purple freesias and stargazer lilies. The flower girl was Olivia Lynne Waugaman. She wore a white, silk dress with pearl flowers.

The groom is the son of Danny and Shirley Brewer of Nikiski

He was attended by best man Scott Turner and usher Douglas Brewer Jr. The ring bearer was Duncan Waugaman.

After the ceremony, the couple was joined by friends and family at the Deep Creek Fishing Club in Ninilchik. Music was provided by Mike Morgan and friends.

The bride was born in Kirkland, Wash. She graduated from high school in 1982 and is pursuing a registered nursing degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage. She works for Alaska West Air Inc.

The groom is a 1982 graduate of Nikiski High School and owns Alaska West Air Inc.

The couple plans to take a honeymoon in the future and has made their home in Nikiski.
