UAA plans journalism camp for students
The University of Alaska Anchorage is seeking motivated, curious and hardworking high school students entering grades nine through 12 to attend its Journalism and Public Communications seventh annual Summer Media Camp from July 20 to 26.
The camp includes one week of instruction in newspaper and video production. Students have the opportunity to explore broadsheet newspaper, Web and video production. The camp classes and workshops are held on the UAA campus with off-campus field trips.
All students will stay in university housing with chaperones. The camp fee is $250 and includes meal costs and housing on campus, but not airfare. Limited fee assistance may be available. USS Minneapolis-Saint Paul plans reunion
The USS Saint Paul (CA-73) and the USS Minneapolis-Saint Paul (SSN-708) Association will hold its 11th reunion in Boston from Aug. 24 to 28. All former crew members are welcome.
