Margaret Maxine Kline died Tuesday, May 31, 2005, in her sleep from natural causes in her home in Reno, Nev. She was 82.
A family memorial will be held in early August for a celebration of her life. Her ashes will be distributed on the Kenai Peninsula.
Mrs. Kline was born in North Caroline on Jan. 12, 1923. As a young woman she moved to California. She married Ralph Kline and together, with her children, they moved to Alaska in 1965. She worked in the food industry throughout the Kenai Peninsula and Anchorage.
She retired as a cook from Crowley Maritime. Mrs. Kline moved back to California in 1989 and then to Nevada in 1995 where she resided with her daughter, Bobbie, who took care of her in the final years of her life.
"She was well known for her cooking abilities and had many friends in the area, Her laughter and good nature were well known. She was a hard worker who always made the best of what life gave her. She never complained of life's shortcomings, She always had great spirit in all she participated in," her family said.
She was proceeded in death by her brother, Pat, and son-in-law Don Morgan.
Mrs. Kline is survived by her daughters, Sue Riddle and husband, Jack, of Lakeport, Calif., Bobbie Bruck of Reno and Carol Morgan of Kenai; sons, John Pilatti of Anchorage and David Pilatti and his wife, Christine, of Kenai; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Reno Memorial Cremation and Burial Society of Reno.
