Multiple sclerosis group to meet

The Multiple sclerosis support group will meet at noon today at Coffee Concepts for a planning session. For more information, call Barb at 262-5030.

Tribe offers cultural sharing

The Kenaitze Indian Tribe will host two events this weekend that are open to the public. Cultural sharing and storytelling will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center. Dena'ina elders from Kenai, Tyonek, Nondalton and Lime Village will be present. A barbecue will be from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the tribe's Educational Fishery Site at Dunes Road off Cannery Road. Tribal members are asked to bring a salad or dessert. The tribe will serve hamburgers, hot dogs, salmon and corned beef soup.

LeeShore seeking volunteers

The LeeShore Center is seeking volunteers to help remove items from its Close Closet and Kitchen Pantry prior to a remolding project and then help replace them when the project is finished.

Community members also are needed to help set up and anchor new shelving in both places. For more information, call Barbara or Cheryl at 283-9479.

PFLAG to meet

Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday. For more information and location of meeting, call 283-4678

The Soldotna Chamber of Commerce has parade applications available online at www.soldontachamber.com for its 45th annual Progress Days parade July 23. There is no cost. Clubs, organizations, businesses and community members are encouraged to participate. For more information, call 262-9814.
