Former Kenai resident Marion Emily Delahay, died Thursday, June 3, 2004, at Carson Tahoe Hospital in Carson City, Nev. She was 87.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 13, at Carson Valley United Methodist Church in Gardnerville, Nev.
Mrs. Delahay was born June 19, 1916, in Michigan to Harvey Henry Horn and Gertrude Boehmer Horn. She lived in Gardnerville for the past seven years and had lived in San Isidro, Costa Rica; Los Alamos, N.M.; Kenai; Fairbanks; and Steamboat Springs, Colo. She was living in Minden, Nev., at the time of her death.
Mrs. Delahay was a homemaker. She was a member of the Kiwanis Lodge and was of the Unitarian religion.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben T. Delahay in 2002; daughter, Jean Lawrence in 1998; and son, Alan Delahay in 1959.
She is survived by sons, Bob Delahay of Gunnison, Colo., Bill Delahay of Mesa, Ariz., Ben Delahay of Las Vegas and Harvey Delahay of Tucson, Ariz.; daughter, Ann Delahay of Minden; twin sister, Margaret Shinaver of Lavonia, Mich.; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many friends.
Arrangements were made by FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home of Gardnerville.
