The group, which promotes community theater throughout the central peninsula, is looking for actors, directors, musical directors, producers and backstage helpers. Those at the meeting will assess the available local talent and start planning next year's production season.

Kenai Performers incorporated in the 1980s and has sponsored numerous plays and musicals, including last winter's hit performance of "Fiddler on the Roof."

For more information, call Carol Ford at 776-8308.

Beginning Monday, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., activities are for youth completing first grade through 18 years of age. The cost is $60 per month per child. Yearly membership is $20.

Activities planned for the summer include daily arts and crafts, sports, fitness and recreation, health and life skills, conflict resolution classes, character and leadership development activities, a reading program, outdoor academic experiences and field trips.
