Chugiak sweeps Twins

The American Legion Twins fell to 2-4 on the season after dropping two games Saturday to Chugiak in Anchorage.

The Twins lost the opener of the doubleheader 7-6 in 10 innings. Chugiak scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to tie the game at 7, then scored the winner in the bottom of the 10th.

Luke Oliver was 3-for-4 with three runs for the Twins, while Jordan Waters was 2-for-5 and Shaun Isaacs was 2-for-5.

In the second game, the Twins lost 4-3. Steven Mabeus pitched six innings and gave up four runs, two of which were earned, on seven hits. The Twins rallied from a 4-0 deficit in the top of the seventh, scoring three runs, but could not find the tying run.
