WASILLA (AP) A man born and raised in Palmer has been appointed to fill a vacancy on the Palmer District Court bench.
William Estelle, 48, was appointed to the seat Wednesday.
Estelle holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Alaska Anchorage and a law degree from Duke University.
He served as an assistant district attorney in Palmer and Bethel.
Estelle was one of three Alaskans nominated by the Judicial Council to fill the vacancy. The others were Charles Huguelet and Jennifer Wells.
